I am a huge football fan and it is always disappointing when your team falls short of the biggest Sunday of football. Being a fan of the Dallas Cowboys was something that I married into but am still a big fan. We taught our daughter to love them too!
Today at church we viewed a video called “Football Sunday” and it showed me the NFL from a different perspective. It is all about football players who are Christians but they realized that they are really Christians that play football. Every one of us goes through struggles and life events that cause us to be shaken to the core. While NFL players may be more in the limelight than some of us, hearing their testimonies made me understand that they are just like us. We all should be focused on God so much more than what we are. When life shakes us, our firm foundation should be built upon God, not of our earthly desires to be successful, famous, popular, wealthy or even just well liked.
God is opening up a new perspective for me because I am going through a “life shakening” awakening. (I apologize if that is a huge grammar fail but I liked how it sounded.) I will be preparing some posts later to share some things that hopefully will encourage others. If you like them, please comment or drop me a message. My goal is to help others while also helping myself dig out of a pit right now. I am like the underdog of the game and down by 3 touchdowns but it is only halftime and my strength is renewed and ready to play the second half of life! Let’s go team!
Isn’t it awesome that we might feel down for the count but with Jesus; the second half can even be greater than the first. Stay in the game; we haven’t seen anything yet. Blessings.
